Data Deletion for GPS Logger
Last updated: June 12, 2026
GPS Logger stores your recorded tracks on your device by default. NorthforceApps does not receive or store your private track history. This page explains how to delete each kind of data the app handles.

Local Data (Your Device)
Your track history, track points, and app settings live in the app database on your device. To remove them:
- Delete individual tracks in the app.
- Clear app storage in Android Settings → Apps → GPS Logger → Storage.
- Uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data.
Live Sharing (App Cloud)
When live sharing is active, only your current position is stored in the App Cloud and overwritten in place. There is no server-side location trail.
- To delete the current App Cloud live position, open GPS Logger and stop live sharing.
- To revoke a share code and delete that cloud share record, open Settings and reset/rotate the share code. This deletes the old tracker node and revokes existing followers.
- Stale live positions are automatically deleted within 7 days, and stale viewer slots within 10 minutes, by a scheduled cleanup task.
Self-Hosted Sharing (Your Own Server)
If you configure a self-hosted HTTPS server URL, your current position is sent only to that server. NorthforceApps never receives it. Delete this data from your own server, and disable or blank the upload URL in Settings to stop further sending.
Analytics and Crash Diagnostics
- You can turn off anonymous analytics and crash reporting in Settings → About.
- Opting out stops future collection. Diagnostic data already processed in aggregate form may not identify you personally.
- For deletion questions about diagnostics, contact us at the support address above.
Requesting Deletion
Most data is local-only or deleted automatically by stopping a share, resetting the share code, or stale purge. For any remaining deletion request that the in-app controls cannot handle, email NorthforceApps at the support address above and we will action it where technically possible.
